It's Fathers Day...what happened to tubes of underwear?

This has been a wacky weekend. I spent the day Saturday walking from near my apartment to downtown Boulder, walking all around downtown, and then walking back--an 8 mile round trip. The walk felt really good, I had an awesome time with Dol, talking and eating. I even bought a new exercise skort--a skirt with built-in shorties underneath. I ended up wearing it out of the store, as I was outfitted for an early morning walk, not intending to be in downtown during peak people hours. Shiny purple exercise pants, a yellow t-shirt, and cockeyed pigtails were fine at 8am, but at noon in downtown, felt quite conspicuous--and hot. I was glad for the breeze between my knees.

I was really conscious of staying hydrated, and was really trying to do so. Unfortunately, all the sun caught up to me about 2 hours after I got home--I started feeling sick. A little dizzy, a little nauseous, a little headachy, hot then cold then hot then cold. I ate, I drank, I slept, I watched a Hindi "Godfather" movie, I drank and ate and slept some more. I was pretty loopy last night.

But not too loopy to forget the best line of the day, "people's heads must be getting bigger from all the hormones in the milk." said D, after trying on several hats that were sized Small, and were huge.

Today I took things really slowly and really didn't do much until noon. Then I went on the giant errand-running extravaganza. I went to Bed Bath Beyond and bought a stainless frying pan, since I seem not to own one. I went to JoAnn Fabric store and bought fabric and foam and a staple gun and some other household things that were on crazysale (a doormat for my front door, a plant holder, and a vase). I went to the store and got milk. And I stared the great chair recovering project. I'll give a full detailed rundown of the project once I'm done, but 2 hours in, I realized I needed an electric knife to cut the foam. So I did a little online research, discovered I could get one at Bed Bath Beyond for $15 (after my 20% off coupon), called the Boulder store, found out they had one, but were closing in 30min. I zipped out of the house, went to the BBB and got me my electric knife. I'll tell ya, it cuts through 2" foam like...well, much better than any other tool I tried.

I have spent the last 4 hours on the chair recovering project, and I've successfully got one chair TOTALLY done. The others should get done tomorrow after work without too much fuss. The foam is cut, the fabric is cut, all I have to do now is staple and screw.
