lizard spock

oh my goodness. I'm hooked. I am. I'm hooked on a silly TV show about a bunch of science geek friends. And the show today opened with a scene in which they were fighting over watching ST:DS9 or Saturn3 and they played a modified rock/paper/scissors: rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock. Seriously seriously I was on the floor with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.
has the clip.

this has a nice chart for those who can't follow the clip.

I miss my uber nerd friends.

Last week I said a temporary goodbye to my friend D who lives in Texas and I don't see often, but is now starting Officer Candidate School in the army and may not have as much contact as I have had (which, granted, isn't a ton). And during our conversation, he was telling me about a TV show he likes and equated it a mix of two scifi geek shows. My response, immediately, was "I love you!" because, really, so few people in my life can relate to me on that level, and I adore my geek friends. Last week I also got to hang with a friend and we talked and talked and talked and then watched an episode of Buffy. We were both bummed that we didn't have time for more than one episode since it was a weeknight and we spent so much (good) time talking and catching up....so much geekdom, so little time.
