Santa Fe, parent style

My parents arrived on Tuesday afternoon. After a little bit of Boulder show-n-tell on Tuesday, I dropped them off at their hotel, got myself home to pack up, and watched the last 2+ episodes of BSG season 1. I say 2+ because I successfully watched the lat 2, and fell asleep part-way through the season finale. Yes, I know, how could I?! Well, I'm a champion sleeper.

Wednesday morning I went to the gym and then met up my folks for breakfast at the hotel before embarking on our 6-hour drive to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Today we walked and walked and walked all around Santa Fe. I now own a really cool black onyx necklace that was made by a Native American woman with the turquoise inlay done by her 17 year old son. We did a lot of (window) shopping. I mean A LOT. We didn't go into any art galleries or museums. This is a very different visit than the trip to Santa Fe I took last year. It is interesting to look at things through a different lens than I'm used to on my own.

Tomorrow we're heading back to Boulder, but doing it Jenniestyle. We're going to make a detour stop at Ojo Caliente, a place with natural hot mineral springs. I'll give you the full report tomorrow night!
